Dr. Gilmartin was born in New York City and received his A.B. in Modern Thought and Literature from Stanford University. He received his medical degree from the University of California, San Francisco. While at UCSF, Dr. Gilmartin received training in Osteopathic manipulation and began his mentorship with Dr. Eliott Blackman. During that time, he also completed a Masters thesis on the history of early Osteopathy at UC Berkeley. He then attended UCSF’s Santa Rosa Family Medicine Program, where he served as chief resident. While working in Dr. Blackman’s office, Dr. Gilmartin also completed Andrew Weil’s Fellowship in Integrative Medicine at the University of Arizona, supported by the Bravewell Collaborative. Currently, he is an instructor for the Osteopathic Cranial Academy.
